Charlottesville Storage Buildings, Barns and Sheds
We're Frugal! We can show you how to build a sturdy structure that will last as long as your house for about the same as the roadside storage buildings! We can show you how to build a roadside storage building too, if you really want one!
We're not knocking the roadies, they are what they are. They're just not what a Frugal DIY Pro would be overly proud of! They look great when they are new
and for a few years, but we've seen many of them in various stages of disrepair. If you're going to spend hard earned money, why not build it to last? We'll show you how to
build one good enough to live in. Not only do we follow the same structural build methods of a house, we'll show you how to finish it off like one to the extent you desire.
Electric, a sink, lighting, insulated and weatherproof floor etc. We can show you how to build it on a temporary or a permanent foundation, your choice. We've never actually moved one
at a home, ut if it's on a temporary foundation I guess you could put it on the other side of the yard next year if you want to change the view!
One or two car garages, storage buildings and barns up to 6 stalls are ideal projects for a Frugal DIY homeowner. The bigger the building, the more physically challenging the work will be though, so be prepared. Storage buildings are easy, barns can be a challenge depending upon the size and design. In many localities in the Charlottesville area, permits are not required for these structures, so this is a good opportunity to learn a little about wiring and plumbing too. And, if you do need a permit and want amenities, we'll help you coordinate the sub contrators to do the work you're not allowed to do!
Just give us a call at (434) 202-4198 in Charlottesville or use the contact form to get started. We'll help you select the most suitable location, draw a plan and materials list, we'll even go shopping with you to show you how to pick out the best lumber and other materials. A long weekend or two is all that is needed for a storage building, a few more for a garage, and a few more still for a barn.
Is your new storage building going to store stuff, be a workshop, or a man (or woman) cave? Once you have a nice building, you'll need to put some new toys in it! Maybe a new motorcycle or tractor?
